Inverted Roof
A terrace or flat roof build-up in which the thermal insulation is placed above the waterproofing. Water-resistant insulation boards (usually XPS) protect the membrane from UV, mechanical damage and thermal shock. In a conventional (warm) roof, with the insulation below, a vapour control layer is required.
